Oracle Caves
Back on November 3rd of 2007 I took my family to Oracle Caves (Peppersauce) just for a day retreat. We had such an enjoyable time as a family together, and it will definitely be a memory I will always remember. I think what I enjoyed best was the watching the girls sense of discovery kick in as they entered and walked through the caves. After spending about an hour inside, we went to the nearby campground, and cooked up some hamburgers. Here are some photos from the day.
Here I am with the girls inside the caves. You can see behind us the immensity of them. You can actually walk about 1 mile inside, but with the girls we only went about 100 yards.
Katelyn loved it inside.

Back at the campsite, Elin leaned in to give Mom a kiss.
New Years Eve Party...
This New Year's my wife and I put together a last minute party since we had no other plans. About 6 families showed up and we had a real fun time with everyone. The highlight for the kids was the countdown of course, which we did around 10:30pm. Right after the countdown Ken Brague brought out some fireworks and put on a great show for everyone. The kids loved the sparklers. I have said it before, but I want to say it again - Shirley and I are so blessed to be living by the neighbors we do. Not only that but to have the friends that we have that travel to come visit and have fun with us - The Larsons, The Albrights. What a great group of friends we have! Here are some pictures from fun with sparklers.
Elin is ready for the party!
Here is our good neighbor Shaine Alleman ready to hand off a sparkler to the next lucky kid.
Farrah Albright and her son Caden. He is still trying to figure out whether or not he likes the sparklers.
