New Years Eve Party...

This New Year's my wife and I put together a last minute party since we had no other plans. About 6 families showed up and we had a real fun time with everyone. The highlight for the kids was the countdown of course, which we did around 10:30pm. Right after the countdown Ken Brague brought out some fireworks and put on a great show for everyone. The kids loved the sparklers. I have said it before, but I want to say it again - Shirley and I are so blessed to be living by the neighbors we do. Not only that but to have the friends that we have that travel to come visit and have fun with us - The Larsons, The Albrights. What a great group of friends we have! Here are some pictures from fun with sparklers.

The kids are all hyped to get going with the fireworks.

Elin is ready for the party!

Here is our good neighbor Shaine Alleman ready to hand off a sparkler to the next lucky kid.

Farrah Albright and her son Caden. He is still trying to figure out whether or not he likes the sparklers.

Here is Katelyn having fun.

We had such a fun time at the party! Wish we could have stayed for the count down! Hey - we should all go to Oracle Caves sometime. I bet Annalise would love it and I havn't been for a long time. The last time I went was actually with James German and we dared each other to jump into the pitch black pool of water (that is roped off) and swim across. That was quite scary - I don't know how I mustered up the nerve, but a dare is a dare! And I've never swam faster in my entire life! :-)

Those New Years pictures are great!! I love the ones with the children holding the sparklers. It looks like the entire family (and neighborhood) had a blast. How great that you are surrounded by such wonderful people. We had a fun New Years up at Uncle John's house in Tahoe, but I think you all had us beat!
Love to you all,
Mimi
