While in the car the other day Katelyn was asking questions about who the richest guy in the world is? She then asked what rich people buy? Anabelle quickly responded with the perfect answer, "Rich people don't buy anything, THAT'S WHY THEY'RE RICH!"
Isn't she smart!

Fun Pictures from Today's Adventures

Today after Katelyn's baptism we all went to Paradise Bakery Cafe (Blue Cheese Crumbly Salad rocks!) and then just let the girls enjoy their time walking around the mall with no real plan or time schedule. During that time we got some fun photos to share, here are some of my favs. Katelyn is not in any of these since she was out parading around the mall with her friends. (see pictures in the post below).
These first three are of Elin trying on hats and a pair of glasses at one store. She loves to dress up and show off her new wear.

Believe it or not I actually asked her to smile here - and this is what I got. I can't tell if she was joking or really trying to smile.
I love this picture since it shows the sweet relationship Anabelle has with her brother. Here she is playing with him. This went on for a few minutes of him just laughing and laughing. Sometimes when Kash is crying and fussing Anabelle will comfort him and he quiets down in a matter of one minute. He really likes her a lot.
Love this picture of Shirley and Anabelle, and the one just below it of her and Elin. You can tell that her little girls love her so much.

Elin was getting tired towards the end of the day - which if you have been a solid reader of our blog you would know she loves softly rub her face against our arms, faces ect and then falls to sleep. Here she is once again - just about on verge of sleeping after a long day outside the home.
Katelyn's Baptism

The day has actually arrived. I can't believe that our oldest was actually baptized today. It was a very special moment and our little princess looked stunningly beautiful in the dress her Grandma bought for her. The day we went to get the dress was like a precursor for wedding dress shopping. Katelyn tried on a number of different dresses each time coming out turning around showing it off. Kind of scary to think how quickly she is growing up. Here are a few pictures from the event. We also want to thank all her friends and family who supported her and came out witness her baptism.

After the baptism we took Katelyn and her two friends Alison and Jocelyn (both older than Katelyn) to the local mall just to let them "hang out" together. They all three had a blast. Here are a couple of pictures I took of them as they were having their fun together.

Las Vegas Conventions
Shirley and I are here in Las Vegas (with the kids of course) for two different conventions that happened to fall on the same couple of days. The one for her is to meet clothing vendors for her clothing company, while I am here for the incredible convention and gathering of Wedding / Portrait Photographers. It has been an amazing couple of days of learning and networking - but oh boy are we ever tired. After taking a nap this evening I woke up to get some much needed work done. While some of work is processing I thought I would post some pictures from our adventures so far.
This picture totally cracks me up... Ok here is what's going on. We were walking through the new Encore hotel just to get a glimpse one night after a long day of walking around tradeshows ect... Well Elin was exhausted and at one point we stopped for a short minute and when I told her its time to go, she protested and stood still where she was. Not only that but she stood with her leg cocked to the side and looked at me with this little attitude. No matter what I said or did she was not moving. People walking by all were commenting on her and her stance. Too funny!
Love this picture of Shirley and Kash. He has slept most of the day here simply because he is being held nice and tight right up against the warmth of our body while Shirley or I have carried him. Spoiled little guy...well that and we had no room in the stroller.
Elin normally does not like to wear earrings but for some reason while her in Vegas she insists on wearing these star earrings. Not sure why the fascination with them, but she won't take them off even to sleep.
These two pictures are of an act that was performing at the Venetian that we happened to catch in the main area as we were walking from the convention to the car. The kids really enjoyed the sites and sounds of the town.

In front of the cotton fields...
More photos...

I love this picture of Shirley feeding Kash while sitting outside in front of a fireplace down at Tempe Market Place. She looks beautiful.
This one I took when I walked in the family room one day and found Elin had climbed up on the couch and fell asleep right next to Kash. It was super cute. She really loves her brother. This one I took at night when we were getting ready for bed and Elin was in her super charge mode, where she was acting crazy. In this picture she is actually crouched down on top of our bedside drawer - she was putting on her show acting like a dog. It actually cracks me up when she does this because when you are not expecting it, she'll come up and lick your cheek just like a dog. She definitely gets into character. Maybe she has a future in acting...
Here is my boy Kash and I. This was actually taken in our hall way, and I just blew out the background (brightened it up a lot). Sure love this little boy...
